Be selfish

fuck everyone else, live for yourself only. That means wanting to be in the best possible world for you, but surely the best possible world for you is one where everyone else is enjoying the best possible world for them. How could it not be? What possible value can there be in the less-than-best outcome of anyone else?

Unless, when it comes down to it, the world’s dirty little secret is that it needs slaves. Or to put it more sensibly, the world depends on hierarchy and the power of one thing over another. The grass is slave to the cow, the cow is slave to us, and now we are slaves to each other. But who does whose dishes? And is there a need for one person to do the dishes of someone else? We would have each other believe the architect’s time is precious, and that doing dishes is beneath them. The maid cannot do architecting, so they have to find another way to get money and decide to get a cleaning job which the architect hires them to do. The maid will work more and harder per dollar than the architect, and he gets more economic freedom and power in the world, and they get to have a maid who cleans their house regularly. If it quacks like slavery….
