for real we need to change the way we look at holidays in childhood. I’m fortunate enough to have had a mother who is obsessed with being in fuckin sick countries with cheap booze and nothin to do but nurse hangovers and get fucked up. Which came later, the point was that taking a child out of school for something like 4 weeks extra a year, if it is to go and explore the world and discover new cultures, should be 100% encouraged. But tbf thats a 1st world problem.
