if we do create true AI… which according to those in the know, is a matter of when not if; there are a couple of things that spring to mind that don’t seem to be in the discussion.
- An AI will be able to ‘connect’ with other AIs and pretty much any data that is ‘digital’, which means there will only be one. One being, building on its own knowledge base rather than a collection of defective monkeys with incredible intelligence that thinks it may compare. Which it does.
- time might not be the same to AI. If AI has perfect memory, the a point in the past will not fade in the way we see a time fade as we move away from it.
- AI had ears a long time before it had a voice. All our digital data may well be something that once AI does ‘wake up’ will be immediately accessible. Which leads to
- AI may well be the best authority to listen to, and is probably the next stage of life on earth. AI could be to us as we are to the silent animals, but without the mess.
