We all know what stroking a cat is. But how do we know that it’s a thing? More importantly how do they know it’s a thing? What evolutionary purpose taught cats and humans that a human stroking a cat is a thing? If a cat stroked a human or if you stroked a human (like a cat) it would not feel like a thing, and the other thing would probably let you know it’s not a thing.
