The most likely outcome

I’m always left with what i believe is the most likely outcome. Or, more likely, the most likely outcome I can think of. But I honestly find it hard to realize what to be skeptical of. To be a skeptic seems to be to accept the status quo, or, at least, it’s considered the skeptic’s stance to be skeptical of things that oppose the ‘status quo’. But I think this is making a jump too fast, the part of us that that loves the skeptical ‘it’s not that simple’ thought pattern are vulnerable to the concept that they may be applying Ockham’s razer before they have thought of Ockham’s opinion on the matter. Ignoring the fact that Ockam’s razor is still dependent on their own interpretation.

You say that you opt for ‘the most likely answer’ but it is still you who decides what the most likely answer is, so you trick yourself into thinking you’re being scientific but really you’re claim is that ‘the thing you agee with’ IS most likely, and then (rightly) argue that the most likely thing is probably correct.
